    One hundredth of a second was the difference that lost the Crawley Town Life Saving Club the “Hepworth Speed Trophy” at last weekend’s Crawley Open Lifesaving championships which is widely regarded as the UK’s top pool lifesaving competition which on this occasion attracted teams from as far afield as Blythe, Leeds and Berlin, Germany.

    Crawley Town Life Saving Club

    2013 – RLSS National Life Saving Championships – Ponds Forge, Sheffield.

     

    Rachael Kaiser became the Open Ladies Individual Life Saving Champion while representing the South East Region and the Crawley Town Life Saving Club at the Royal Life Saving Societies National Championships held at the Olympic Ponds Forge Pool in Sheffield.

  • Commonwealth Championships

    Crawley Town Life Saving Club

    2013 - Commonwealth Life Saving Championships, Canberra, Australia.

     

    The Crawley Town Life Saving Club made its most successful contribution to date at an a major international lifesaving championships when 7 of its members won;  two overall titles, breaking  Commonwealth and British records and gaining 7 gold, 9 silver and 7 bronze medals whilst representing their respective countries. This contribution helped England achieve their highest placing ever at a Commonwealth Lifesaving Championship; second behind Australia and in front of their main rivals South Africa and Canada.

  • Zara breaks her own British record

    Zara Williams of the Crawley Town Lifesaving club lowered her own British record in the 50m manikin carry by 4 one hundredths of a second to 37.02 seconds when competition for Great Britain at the recent European Lifesaving Championships being held in Den Haag, Netherlands.
